ANSWER: The sites http://www.lawsonline.com and http://www.lawchek.com are sites available to everyone with most of the material being free. However, the sign up designation is available exclusively to Attorneys, Expert Witnesses & Consultants, Court Reporters, Private Investigators, Process Servers, Legal Associations and Legal Affiliates.

WHAT ARE THE VALUES OF BELONGING TO THE ELECTRONIC ACADEMY OF LAW (eAL)™?

ANSWER: The values of belonging to the academy are listed above and provide exposure of your name, address, and other vital information to over 20,000,000 individuals in communities where the LAWCHEK® Quick Reference library product is available. Others in the Legal Community and members of the public who use the websites at http://www.lawsonline.com and http://www.lawchek.com will be given access to your listing. Also, attorney listings are included in the LAWCHEK® Attorney Directory, which will be included on the CD and websites aforementioned. An additional asset, as noted above, includes seminars and meetings expected to begin this fall.

WHAT IS THE "LAWCHEK® QUICK REFERENCE CD?"

ANSWER: The "LAWCHEK® CD" is designed to be a "Quick Reference" for the Legal Community and members of the general public regarding specific legal questions. This product is state specific and is available for all 50 states. It is also designed to bring to the user’s attention some of the most commonly used and accepted forms. The use of a "Quick Reference" system allows a memebr of the general public to complete the necessary material before actually visiting with an attorney in an office consultation atmosphere.

IS THE LAWCHEK® CD OF VALUE TO PARALEGALS AND SECRETARIES?

ANSWER: The LAWCHEK® CD is a "Quick Reference" system that allows paralegals and secretaries to relieve attorneys from much of the workday burden by directing various questions to the client and providing various forms in preparing the client for the conferences with the attorney.

ANSWER: As the new upgrades are compiled by the authors, upgrades will be made available FREE (except for shipping and handling charges).

WHO ARE THE AUTHORS OF THE MATERIAL CONTAINED WITHIN THE "LAWCHEK® QUICK REFERENCE SYSTEM?"

ANSWER: The authors are individual attorneys throughout the United States who have developed expertise in a specific area of the law. They have prepared comparative law studies and analysis, which were designed to be a "quick reference," "user-friendly" system for the general public. The concept is to provide information so that the general public is better prepared in conferring with attorneys. The system also provides a valuable aid to attorneys, paralegals and secretaries by giving the attorneys, in most cases, citation to a relevant code section thereby streamlining the research hours and minimizing the amount of time an attorney must spend on a legal issue.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF THE ACADEMY’S ATTORNEY DIRECTORY OVER OTHER DIRECTORIES?

ANSWER: The attorneys are listed in the LAWCHEK® Attorney Directory. The attorney is also listed on the CDs that are distributed to libraries, law offices and the general public. The academy listing is designed to be a listing of actual use rather than a listing of a large group of attorneys. The academy list is especially designed for use between academy members, as well as for the general public. Access to the attorney listing, including names and profiles of the attorneys, is free as an add-on to the LAWCHEK® product, therefore, there is no download charge or cost to anyone retrieving and using the attorney or firm to which reference is made in the academy.
